SEI brings fresh inputs to your existing social development efforts, fueled by ideas and grounded in experience and performance.

SEI has amultidisciplinary team that gather specialists from the fields of environment, policy and economy, a mix of experienced seniors and young professionals who work together to translate sustainable development into a series of concrete measures and programs. To provide better consulting services, SEI build project teams that mainly consist of regional experts who have a good understanding of the institutional framework and local circumstances.

SEI is a young establishment but its team and consultants have very wide range of experience. The core team has working experience with Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), Plan International, International Resource Centre (IRC WASH), Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, India, AC Nielson, Delhi University, Geophysicist Surveys, DMRC, Banking Sectors etc

SHEHFAR

Founder and Executive Director
SHEHFAR is a Geographer with twelve years of varied experience in the social development sector with a competency in handling Water and Sanitation projects including Water Conservation & Management, Improvement of Drinking Water Quality in Urban Slums and in Remote areas of the country, Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) programs, Natural Resource Management, Decentralised fecal sludge management. He has also worked for Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, and Ministry of Urban Development programmes like the National Rural Drinking Water Program (NRDWP). He has supervised Key Resource Centers (in CSE), worked for Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), participated as technical person to review Government of India supported “Nirmal Gram Purushkar” in Maharashtra. True as a geographer he has worked in the various urban communities of India, in rural locales, in the mountains and desert regions of India, from Coastal regions to relief operations for Tsunamis (Puducherry), Earthquakes (Kashmir) and Droughts (Rajasthan). He has walked the corridors of government, the lanes of the development sector, and the lands of citizenry to stitch together projects across verticals crisscrossing the vast rural hinterlands of the country.

PRASHANT

Director
Research and Communications, has fifteen years of experience in Academia and Research on Technology-led Development. He has a background in Engineering and has taught Literature in Delhi University for a decade. He has also worked with the development sector where he was chief-editor for publications centered on Technology and Health, Education and Development. He has also worked on Community Outreach using Theatre and Literature.

DEBASISH

Technical Consultant
DEBASISH is a Geophysicist and Geologist with nine years of experience in data acquisition, processing, and interpretation, and reporting of shallow seismic data / geophysical data, sea floor mapping. He has also worked on analyses of contamination of groundwater from poor & inappropriate sanitation infrastructure and practices in urban and rural areas.

PANKAJ

Senior Consultant
Research, , boasts of more than 18 years of experience in social research, and has been responsible for complete project management and client interaction from project planning to final report presentation. He is experienced in data analysis for managerial interpretations. He has overseen implementation of projects on Gender Issues, Health, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, besides analytical studies on impact assessment in the fields of Health/HIV/AIDS, Education, IEC studies and various rural development projects.

TARIQ

Technical Research Officer
TARIQ is a civil engineer with specialization in designing, engineering and construction. For the last two years he has been working with construction projects such as water conservation structures, cost effective and sustainable modern, indigenous and traditional technology based over and underground sanitation structures. He has worked mainly in Rajasthan.

KIRANDEEP

Technical Research Officer
KIRANDEEP has worked earlier for Financial Services and is now involved in research on Menstrual Hygiene, Health and Livelihood issues especially in the context of Rural Women. She also studies models for social business development and sustainability strategies for rural projects.
